Jeff Loeb

Jeff served as a UBECI volunteer in 2010 and was so inspired by the organization that he returned annually for the next nine years. In the latter of these visits he
reached out to fellow volunteers equally taken with UBECI and formed an alumni group whose members meet monthly to seek funding and help plan annual campaigns. He has committed to continuing his support for UBECI for the rest of his life.
A man who wears many hats, Jeff has worked as a certified middle school teacher, a freelance narrator and composer and audio producer for child-related spots on NPR, and a jazz pianist and piano tuner. He has co-authored two books for children both based on child interviews. With a life-long interest in helping immigrants and from immigrant parents himself, Jeff and his wife have hosted asylum seekers from Africa and Central America. Jeff enjoys a mastery of Spanish and French and some fluency in German. He enjoys spending time with his three adult children and two grandchildren. Jeff and his wife live near Boston.
